Fun genre shows people actually want to watch — generated at the source, built on old-school story.
The camera is no longer a camera. The set is no longer a set.
HUBRIS is a production house built for the medium that didn't exist five years ago — narrative shows authored end-to-end with generative tools. We don't make tech demos, and we're not reinventing the wheel. We make fun genre shows people actually want to watch — funny, irreverent, insightful — stories that hold an audience, then bring them back wanting more.
We believe the next great studios will be small. That a writers' room of seven can out-ship a network. That story persists no matter where the audience goes, and the old budgets can't follow them there. The limits worth respecting are taste, story, and stamina — not budget, geography, or who you know.
We named the company after the sin most likely to bring us down. We figured we'd rather name it than pretend we don't have it.
In a world of secret agencies, mad geniuses, double-crosses, and death-defying escapes, two elite N.E.X.U.S. agents save the world from disasters history never records — and try to survive the most dangerous assignment of all: each other.
Open the fileFour women. Four motorcycles. One Japanese punk band. Ichi, Ni, San, and Shi don't need permission, approval, or a manager — just a count-off. Not rebellion against anything: the joy of not giving a shit about the rules in the first place.
Open the fileA lost 1960s adventure. A glamorous investigator and her dignified gorilla companion solve haunted estates and spy plots — while everyone politely ignores the fact that one of them is an ape.
Open the file1989 Manhattan. Comics are still throwaway kids' stuff — but upstairs, someone just figured out they're intellectual property. Editor in Chief George Whitaker versus the exact year the myth business stopped being run by the people who believed in it. Ten 3-minute episodes.
Open the fileIdeas, images, and storytelling that move an audience. Directing, editing, animation, motion design, VFX, and post — the full craft, amplified by AI-native production, concept through finish. The medium with no limits, finally freed from its practical ones.
See the workThe wide, shallow drawers where the other work lives — Donut Detective, Dubious Creatures, Couch Chicken & Friends, and other AI-made oddities and experiments. Every studio has a drawer like this. Ours is labeled.
Open the drawerWriters' room, season bibles, character work, pilot scripts. The part where the tools don't matter and the story does.
Shot design, performance direction, scene assembly. Multi-model pipelines tuned for continuity, lighting, and the small human texture audiences feel before they can name.
Picture lock, color, sound design, score, foley. Original composition. The unglamorous third of the budget that decides whether anyone finishes the episode.
Platform deals where they make sense. Direct release where they don't. We don't believe the streamer is the only customer anymore.
HUBRIS is Chuck Arnold — creative director and hands-on maker with 18+ years across design, motion graphics, animation, illustration, editing, and post-production. He leads through making: loose ideas into characters, worlds, boards, and finished films, fast.
The process is the studio's whole thesis in miniature: traditional Adobe craft paired with AI pipelines — generation for speed, human taste, timing, and design judgment for the final ten percent that makes work feel premium and cohesive. Two decades of broadcast, agency, and brand work now aimed at original stories. The slate above is what happens when an idea machine finally gets tools that keep up.
